Welcome, newbie! :) Here's tidbits about SHINee that will help you get nice and cozy in SHINee World.
Shawol is the term for SHINee fans. If you're a fan of SHINee, then you're a Shawol. Shawol came from SHINee World. When SHINee World is romanized, it spells sha-i-ni wol-deu. They took the first syllable of both words and put it together, which becomes Shawol.
Here you can find info about each member! And pictures to help you learn to identify them. Yes, I know that in the beginning they all look the same, and their voices, in their songs, all sound the same. But after a while, you can easily tell them apart. :) You just need patience and complete love for them.
If you want to be able to tell them apart faster, I have made a video of Ring Ding Dong where whenever their faces pop up, their names will also appear.

Real name: Lee Jinki -- (In most Asian societies, at least the ones that I know of which are quite a few, last names are put first, then first names. So Onew's real name is Jinki, last name is Lee. I'll be putting their real names like this.)
Position: Leader, singer, dancer
Nicknames: Leader Onew, Dubu Onew (Dubu means Tofu)
Fan club: MVPs -- (Fan club is what the fans of a particular member is called. If you're a fan of Onew, then you're called an MVP, and so on.)
Birthdate: December 14th, 1989 (Currently 22)
Blood type: O
Height: 5' 10'' (177 cm)
Weight: 134 lb (57 kg)
(And yes, I am aware that some of this information is kinda stalker-ish XD but whatever)
Miscellaneous information:
Onew Condition - if you've watched any Youtube videos about SHINee, you've probably stumbled upon something called Onew Condition. Onew Condition is basically anything that Onew does, generally lame pun jokes or body gags, but they're absolutely hilarious. :) He trips and falls and it's adorable and funny.

Real name: Kim Jonghyun
Position: Lead singer, dancer
Nicknames: Bling-bling Jonghyun, Jjong (Jonghyun's also known as a dino because he looks like one.)
Fan club: Blingers (lol XD)
Birthdate: April 8, 1990 (Currently 22, same age as Onew)
Blood type: AB
Height: 5' 8'' (173 cm)
Weight: 123 lbs (56 kg)
Miscellaneous info:
-Jonghyun is the shortest
-Plays the guitar
-Is in a sub-group called SM the Ballad with Trax's Jay, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, and a rookie singer Jino. They focus on ballads, hence the name.
-Wrote several of SHINee's songs, including Symptoms.

"Is this the reality you wanted?" Jonghyun says this line a lot in Hello Baby. Hello Baby is a reality show where famous K-Pop bands have to raise a kid for a couple of months. It really helps you tell them apart and you get to know their personalities too.

Position: singer, rapper, dancer (Poor Key :P I do know that he's sometimes called the "Mom of SHINee" because he was the first member to be chosen for SHINee, although he is like the mom in the band :D)

Birthdate: September 23, 1991 (Currently 21)

- Best English and other languages in the band. He spent six weeks in America as an exchange student.
- Was a varsity skier at his middle school before debut
- Appeared in a lot of other SM bands music videos.
- Is known for his ability to analyze and quickly remember dances (more commonly known as his ability to dance girl group dances XD There's lot of videos where Key dances a bunch of girl bands' dances.)
